How we prep chart packs before a Sunday workshop
Behind the scenes of technical analysis training at Neural Trellis Field — printing weekly and daily charts for Hong Kong workshop seats.
Every Friday afternoon the chart room smells faintly of warm toner. We print weekly and daily frames for Hang Seng heavyweights and a rotating set of US ADRs that Hong Kong traders watch overnight.
What goes in a seat pack
- Weekly candles with room in the right margin for notes
- Two daily sheets per symbol with volume histogram
- A blank planning card: bias, zones, invalidation, size
Custom symbols need forty-eight hours. We still draw by hand more than we overlay indicators; the packs stay sparse so structure remains visible under brass desk lamps.
Why paper survives
Screens invite scrolling. Paper invites commitment. During technical analysis training we have watched traders defend a level more carefully when it is already inked. That is the point of weekly chart planning — fewer impulsive redraws when Monday gaps.
